- Hazard Surveys- to assess the potential risk of damage to people or property from tree or branch failure. This type of survey can be carried out on single trees to groups of trees and whole sites, and will show that the client has demonstrated a ‘Duty of Care’. An inventory of the tree stock is provided with the report and any management recommendations are detailed in order to maintain a healthy tree stock. If required, we are qualified to carry out aerial tree inspections.
- BS 5837: 2005 (Trees in Relation to Construction- Recommendations) Surveys- this type of survey/ report is normally required to accompany a planning application if there are trees on or immediately adjacent to the site. The information required by Local Authority Planning Officers is contained in the following three documents. The Preliminary Tree Survey assesses the value of the tree/s for retention; the Arboricultural Impact Assessment provides information on the impact of the development on the retained trees and any mitigation required; the Arboricultural Method Statement describes the methodology of any special procedures required when working near trees (e.g. tree protection fencing, working within the tree protection zone)
- Tree Preservation Order (TPO) and Conservation Area Applications- LCA will provide advice and if required prepare and submit all relevant documentation for an application for tree works to the Local Planning Authority.
- On- Site Services- monitoring of arboricultural issues on construction sites. This service can mitigate any tree problems that may arise and provide the client with a useful liaison with the Council’s Arboricultural Officer.
All consulting work is carried out by degree level arboriculturists. LCA appreciate that many clients have time constraints and always aim to provide a prompt service. |
